The Bolings, Hinton, OK
This family session is one of my favorites. These were done on the outskirts of Hinton, Oklahoma by the Illinois River. When I was in high school, I would come out here with my friend Deann (@deanntuckerphotography) to enjoy the sun. Now, I make the drive to capture fun, documentary style photos for families.
Kase Boling is my cousin, Rain and I are close friends from high school, making their daughter Oakley like my family. Knowing this couple, I shot these photos mostly with prompts rather than poses. They were told things like “Play in the water” and “Follow the leader”.
My favorite photos taken that day were the completely unplanned ones of Rain and Kase wrestling in the river. It’s completely worth getting my clothes a little dirty to deliver memories like these.
